  1. LOVE this rendition, guys! You all REALLY know how to rock around the Christmas tree! Follow you on Twitter and Facebook and Bart keeps me smilin’ all day long :-)
My FAVORITE Christmas song has to be “O Holy Night”. I would LOVE to hear you sing it some time :-)

  2. Sweet video. My absolute favorite Christmas song is “I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day” though I can’t really figure out why (especially considering there are so many I love and can listen to over and over)!

  3. I love your Christmas music! I get excited everytime I hear it on the radio. I love “do you hear what I hear” that’s my favorite

  4. Great take on the song. I can remember the cartoon when I was growing up, it brings back such wonderful memories. God Bless all you – you all can take a song that has been played and performed so many times and make it unique in a MM way!!!

I would say my favorite Christmas sing is “I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day” and especially when I heard Barry explain the origin at the concert I saw this past summer in Maine.

Keep up the good work and God Bless!

PS Can you guys add New Hampshire Motoer Speedway to your Faith, Family and Freedom 2010 Tour? We have 2 SPRINT Cup races – June 27th and the First Race for the CHASE Sept 19th

  5. I love this version of this song. This is my seven yr old’s favorite song. She always asks to use my ipod and finds this song and puts it on the speaker dock and dances to it. Then she drags me for the dancing also. One time I forgot the blinds were open at dinner time and we were dancing for the neighborhood. :)

  6. You guys could rock any song… I like all the Christmas songs but my fav. would have to be singing Silent Night during candle light service. Sounds so angelic.

  7. This is great! Thanks for all that you guys do! You really put a smile and a kick of joy in my pants today!

My favoriate? Silent Night. Can’t beat it….hands down it will always be the best song ever.

  8. OK, so how can we get an mp3 of this one? :)
One of my favorites is Carol of the Bells; perhaps not the song most suited to your voices. I also love What Child is This.

  9. Ooooooh, YES! I LOVE Joseph’s Lullaby as well!! I’ve sung that to all my baby boys (and that’s six, so I’ve sung it a LOT!!) – it has always been a favorite of mine.

  10. My favorite “secular” Christmas song is “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas (Karen Carpenter’s version). “O Little Town Of Bethlehem” would have to be my favorite carol…..

  11. My favorite Christmas song is “Christmas Time Is Here”. Maybe in part because it popped up on my Ipod earlier today. The Vocals are so sweet on that song. Also like “I heard the Bells On Christmas Day” But (sorry) I like the version done by /another/ group a bit better.

  12. I honestly do not have a favorite Christmas song, but I do have a favorite Christmas album and believe it or not, it is MercyMe. I do have to say that I love Joseph’s song along with you rendition of Silent Night w/ Amy Grant.

  13. Absolutely love O Holy Night and Silent Night runs a close second. Joseph’s lullaby is a favorite too. Heck I love all Christmas music! My favorite season!

  14. You guys is the best mercyme Always and however
is the #1 for me, not just christmas album all album from
mercyme it’s great, thank you guys for all your songs
god bless everyone of you guys :)

  15. My favorite Christmas song is Silent Night… although I pretty much love them all…. except the ones that are all about the fatman. We don’t “do” Santa. JESUS is the Reason for the Season!

  17. I love your songs, everything you do! My favorite Christmas song is without a doubt, O Holy Night. My favorite part of it” Fall on your knees”, the right person singing it can bring chills, and tears

  18. You guys are a great group – I love all your music, esppecially the Christmas selections. However, I am going to make one observation and hope it’s taken well.

You do the sogn “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen”, and each time you sing the refrain, I think “It’s ComFORT, not Comfert”. Listen to the recording and you’ll see what I mean

I’m probably going to get slammed for this comment, but it’s an honest one and well-meant.

Merry Christmas to you, your families, and your entire assembly

  19. Awesome rendition of the song! Much better than the one that plays on the radio all the time. My favorite christmas songs are O Come All ye Faithful and Happy Birthday Jesus.

  20. Terrific job on Rockin’!! LOVE the vintage cartoon clips in the video – awesome! My favorite Christmas tune?…The Christmas Song (chestnuts roasting…) ala Karen Carpenter and O Holy Night. Hard to pick only one!!!

  21. I LOVE “Joseph’s Lullaby”. I copied your lyrics and the chords and have talked my husband into playing his guitar and singing it during the Christmas Eve Service at his mother’s church. We are working out the details with her pastor to make it a surprise for her. She will think this the perfect gift! Thank you; you guys are the greatest!!

  22. My son & I were just listening to your Merry Christmas CD! My favorite song is MM rendition of Silent Night but they are all GREAT. As we were listening, I was telling my son that every time I hear ANY music by MM, since the first time I heard MM sing, I feel so connected to God. It’s like you open your mouth to sing and you breath him out! Thank you for all you put in to your music and for sharing it with us! God Bless & Merry Christmas:)

  23. Just want you to know, you have succeeded in something no one
else has ever been able to do! You have done “Rockin’ Around the
Christmas Tree” in a way that I can like it! I was around with Brenda
Lee did the original, and have heard every version since. I just never
liked the song, until I heard your version on “The Christmas Sessions”.
Also, would like you to know that your music, the beautiful and meaning lyrics, as well the music itself, really says so very much to my heart. I know “God is especially fond of you guys.” (from The Shack), May He continue to bless you in your ministry. Merry Christmas to all of you.

  24. My most favorite is “Do You Hear What I Hear?” followed by “Little Drummer Boy” of which I am a collector of. I have 15 different versions so far.

  25. I have 3 favorite songs actually, O Holy Night, I Heard The Bells, and Christmas Time Is Here. In fact I have shared it to the cleaners and porters in our hospital and they really like those songs. All in all the entire album The Christmas Sessions is really amazing and awesome, can’t help in shedding tears everytime I listen to it. Thank you guys for sharing your amazing talent, keep it up and God Bless!!!

  26. I must agree with others here… Joseph’s Lullaby is a good one!

I also love Mary Did You Know. I really like the original by Mark Lowery and Buddy Green.

  27. I’m another vote for “O Holy Night” as my favorite Christmas song. However, your version of “Rockin’ around the Christmas Tree” and Go Fish’ “Christmas with a Capital C” are tunes for which I usually knock up the volume switch a couple of notches!

  28. I am listening to your rendition of Silent Night at the moment for the bazillionth time, and it never fails to bring a smile to my face at the part where you scat– my favorite part. It just grabs a hold of me– love it!! Beautiful combination of chords and makes me want to sit down and write something good. I love the harmony, too, and I’m very comfortable with the country-folksy feel of it. Fresh face on an old favorite.

  29. My absolute favorite is ‘Do You Hear What I Hear?” I just want to thank y’all for brightning my days, and my life with your music. I’m going thru a tough time right now, (who isn’t?) and when I put your music in, I realize it’s not about me…It’s all for the Glory of God…good or bad. I feel like your ‘I can only Imagine’ is the ABSOLUTE best song, EVER, in the whole world, of all types of music, thru all time… it really puts things in perspective…Thank you, so much. Y’all are the best!!!
