Let The Holiday’s Begin

The Mayor Of Awesometown declares “Let The Holiday Season Begin”. And what better way to kick off the season than with a little dancing?

  1. ‘Won’t you take to AAAAAAAASometown!’ Way to go Bart. You have just set the white people back 100 years! Bad enough that we can’t jump. The robot dance will never be the same……sniff…….

  2. Oooh you hit the Christmas Nail on the Head!! Am decorating today – Never before in the S household has a Christmas Tree gone up until after Thanksgiving – Tradition be hanged with lights and tinsel – Today the first one is going up! I am sure there is an ordinance in Awesometown that declares such things…

  3. Thank you for the smile. Your crazy is my happy. Happy holidays to the entire MercyMe family. Looking forward to the next album. 10 is playing now.

  5. For some reason, that reminded me of the elf dance from JibJab… but definitely inspiring and able to plunge me into Holiday cheer (and hilarity)… BTW – nice inclusion of the robot and isolations, though you might want to consider some mime tech classes in the future to further solidify your ‘awesomeness’ moves! :P

  6. That right there is an example of EXACTLY why I make CHRISTIAN rap music… doesn’t matter how the crowd moves, as long as they MOVE!

Been an MM fan ever since I used “I Can Only Imagine” as a backdrop for my confirmation display at church… I don’t know how much genre overlap we have, but MM definitely has an MC on their side! I saw you all at Faith & Family Day in KC, and loved every minute of it

    Pokinatcha -> MxPx album title?

  8. and now we know why a prophet is without honor in his own country…

Thanks for the laugh, Bart. The pendulum move was my fav. :)

Hope You, Shannon and the little ones have an awesome holiday season.

  9. Bart, you never cease to amaze me!!! Who knew you had those moves in you. I should have known, because you have so many talents. Thanks for always lifting us fans up whether with your music, ministry, CTGB, dancing, Twitvids, etc. etc. I love your spirit and heart that shows in everythinhg you do. Hope the entire MM family continues to be Blessed and continues to spread the message of God’s love, as we remember Jesus is the reason for the season.

  10. Don’t give up your day (night) job for dancing! Your backup dancers from Sunday night (aka prank night) were much better.

Your charisma is what got you elected! Oh, wait, you elected yourself! But, the commoners agreed with the vote.We didn’t have a choice. Ha!! I wouldn’t want the job. You are good at what you do. Being a dad. Being a comedian. Being an awesome singer & writer. And spreading what is on your heart. From the heart. You are awesome & passionate about the message.

Have a great few weeks off. Can hardly wait for the RAWRS dates. Wish you could stream 1 night of next weeks annual MM Christmas. :)

  11. You should shoot for a guest performance on Yo Gaba Gaba! Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas from your runner in Victoria Tx.

  12. You are so awesome Mr. Mayor love the way you bust a move!

I have a suggestion now that touring has ended for this year. How about you and the rest of the MM guys bust some moves for the 25 days of Christmas. That way all of us original diehards can enjoy a video each day to replace our usual meeting place at the online stream chat room.

Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas to all of the MM family.

  13. Mr. Mayor: Try incorporating some of these dance moves…the sprinkler, q-tip, bus driver, accidental trip, mixing bowl, raising the roof, churn butter (aka The Cabbage Patch), throwin’ dice, running in place, the worm, a favorite from the 80’s I call ‘The Courtney Cox’ (Springsteen Video), moon walk, any James Brown move (has his own category). Maybe this could be you grand entrance for next Spring’s RAWRS?

Great tour MM, and have a blessed and glorious holiday season.

  14. Hahaha! Ohh, Bart…Thank you! You just made my day so much better. I needed a laugh! You are great. I can tell someone is excited that it’s the Holidays! I am too. I love Christmas time.

I hope your Thanksgiving was awesome and I am glad that you guys are all able to spend some time with your families! God Bless you! And I hope to see you here in Portland, Oregon for Rock and Worship Roadshow…? :D

    Much Love,
    Alissa
