  1. Any chance of “Pleased to meet you” or “Look” being put on iTunes? These are your only albulms that I don’t have. I wanted to say there was a great version of In You on Look…

  2. Hey Bart!

How about “Tremble”, is your fabulous version of the Audio song available?

I don’t mean to sound like well, a novice, but i sort of am. I have a couple of questions if I may… Where did the name “mercyme” come from?

Also, what does s.l.o.b stand for???

You have NO idea how much your music means to me, thank you and blessings to and yours.

One final question, when will you guys be back on the East coast, specifically PA???????

  3. I have all the cd’s. But maybe I can figure out itunes and get “Won’t Back Down.” I agree with Betty, “Tremble” be recorded too…that’s a fantastic song, and can still honor Audio A.
Betty, SLOB=Spectacular League of Bloggers. It’s us fans who spend all of our time blogging on MM’s blog, lol. ;)

  4. Thanks Sandi! So, do you know where the name Mercyme came from? Just curious….

PS: I am not giving up on the Tremble thing… :)

  5. That is really sweet. I am originally from North Carolina and I have heard that phrase before! Thanks for the info!!!

Love you all so much and praying for you!!

  8. Since no one has answered this question, where did the name Mercy Me come from, here is a quote from Bart during an interview.
“I was working in a church in Florida as a youth intern, which means I really didn’t do much other than staple stuff. I’m from Dallas, Texas, and every time my grandmother would call-she would call me any time of the day-I’d be home answering the phone. She was like, “What do you do all day?” and sarcastically I would say, “Well, I’m trying to chalk off the next year to spend time finding a band name.” And she said, “Well mercy me, why don’t you get a real job?” I thought, “Wait a minute. That’s the perfect name.”

I’ve seen them in concert 10 times so I had heard this story but I thought it was best said by Bart. If you haven’t seen them in concert, their music is great on CD but the concerts are straight from Heaven. I love Bart’s testimony and speaking…which makes their music even better.

  9. Allen,

Thank you so much. I did see them recently in concert and was just blown away by their love for Christ and humility. FOr them to be such a big name band, they have no ego which endeared me to them. I have listened to their music for years but it wasn’t until I saw them live that I really got it…like I felt bonded to them. I have been devouring all of their music since. I just ordered like 4 of their cds and have been watching them on Youtube.

Their love for Jesus pours out of their music and drenches my heart in praise. I want to meet them and hug them and thank them for all they do for Jesus! I heard their version of Tremble and while I know it is not their song, their version brought me to tears. I love the Lord more than I can say and listening to this music brings me right to the throne room of grace.

Thank you Allen so much. This blesses me to hear and to know. As a Southerner by birth, reverence for your Grandparents is a big deal and it blesses me hear!

    Have a fabulous day!
