Well folks, we are back on the road today in Hoffman Estates, IL and are starting a three day run that will take us to Wisconsin and Iowa. I should be excited about getting back out there serving and helping to make it easy for the guys to lead the Body in worship…..but sometimes its hard. Especially on a weekend when you know your family is off of work and sitting at home wishing you were there to hang with them. You miss home and miss the community of people that are around you. Sometimes you also miss important events at home, like your best friend getting married tomorrow. But, we know why we do this and we know that we have been called to be apart of something bigger than us. Realizing that makes it easier to go back out on the road.
Please pray for us crew and our families at home. Pray that the Lord speaks thru the band and changes lives at these three shows this weekend.

June 5th, 2008 at 4:07 pmI couldn’t find anywhere else to make this comment(don’t know who the “sound guy” is) I have LOVED the music of MercyMe from the first time I heard them, but my husband and I attended one of your concerts in Wisconsin and had to leave after 1 1/2 songs. We could not stand the volume and had even mentioned to the “sound guy” that we hoped you wouldn’t be as loud as the first group…..the volume was louder, in fact we felt the vibrations. We were VERY disappointed in having to walk out of something we had looked forward to attending for several months…..Please consider the volume that is going out, especially all you new parents out there!!
