Hey everyone. Check it out! A brand new clean MercyMe.org. We’re super excited about this thing, and there’s a couple things that we want to point out.

First up, on the home page you’ll see a box pulling in all of our social media outlets. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Flickr & Gowalla. It’s all there. No need to jump around the internet looking for things. We’ve got it all right here on the home page.

Second, check out the bottom tab there called “Ask A Q”. This section is for you guys to ask us questions any time you want and we’ll try to get them answered as a soon as we can. You can also vote on the questions so the more “popular” questions rise to the top.

Another new thing we want to point out is the Tour Page, where not only can you RSVP to the show, but you can also Comment on any particular show that you are going to. We’ve got a couple more things lined up for this page, but we’re excited about getting this started.

Anyway, enough with the details. Click around and let us know what you think. We’d love to know your thoughts.

Smartphone Embarrassing Song Giveaway

Hey everyone.  Now that the LOVEWELL LIVE tour is over we wanted to bring this little hunt online.  Somewhere on this website there is a code linking to three of the most embarrassing MercyMe songs ever recorded.  Songs that have rarely been heard and probably should have stayed that way.  But not here folks.  You know we have no shame.

Here’s how it works.  On the road we would put these signs up all over the venue and when scanned it would do what Mike said above.  Now we have taken this same code and hidden it somewhere on this website.  It will take a while to look around and find it, but once you do, scan it, enter your email and you will receive the 3 songs in your email.  Depending on how this goes we might periodically move around the code to make it more of a challenge, but let’s see how this goes.  Sound good?

Along with many of you, we have learned of the passing of the driver of the car from the accident on Saturday. Our hearts continue to break for these families and all those who knew them. We continue to pray and ask your prayers for everyone affected by this accident, that God would bring healing, comfort, peace and understanding at a time when they are desperately needed.

Continuing To Pray

MercyMe would like to thank everyone for the overwhelming support and prayers that have been said not only for them, but for the families affected by this tragic accident. We have been in continued communication with the chaplaincy program at the Ft. Wayne Police Department, and our thoughts and prayers continue to be with everyone affected by this situation.

Every night on stage when we introduce our song, “Bring the Rain”, we talk about God being in control. If we believe what we say, then we must continue to look at how He will get the glory through this, and bring healing to so many.

We resumed our touring schedule in Milwaukee Monday evening. Before beginning the concert Bart addressed the crowd for all of us, expressing our heartbreak for the families in Ft. Wayne and our desire to pray for the families and for the young lady who still remains hospitalized. The crowd joined us in prayer specifically praying for healing, comfort, peace and understanding. We thank all of you for continuing to pray.
