Hello S.L.O.Bs!!!
So we received some awesome news today. You’re very own MercyMe has been nominated for an American Music Award!!!! For those who may not know, the cool thing about being nominated for one of these is that YOU GUYS pick the winners. Unlike other awards that are decided by industry type folks, and big wigs, the AMA goes to the artist/band, that the fans vote for.
So now, we put it to you… can you help us win the 2008 AMA??? As always, there is some stiff competition with our friends in Third Day and Casting Crowns, so we’re just honored to be in the running at all. But all brotherly Christian love aside… wouldn’t you like to say you helped us beat them?!?!?!?
That’s right Mark Hall and Mac Powell, today we officially start the “AMA Smackdown!” If in fact we win… we will write an original song thanking you all and perform it as a Cover Tune Grab Bag.

Alright SLOB’s here’s the deal. We need your help. See that right there? That is a terrible SLOB logo. After all this is the “Spectacular League Of Bloggers” right? We need something epic. Something that says, “we are a force to be reckoned with”. ”We are SLOBS”.
Now we know that there are plenty of talented people out there in SLOB-land so we are coming to you. Help us design the SLOB logo. You have been asking for shirts, but without a logo we can’t have shirts.
So this is your challenge. Design a “Spectacular League Of Bloggers” logo and send it to imaslob@mercyme.org. We will take a look at all of the submissions and depending on how many we get we will choose, and put a handful of them on the blog for you all to vote on. Make sense?

You Reign
0Hey everybody, apparently we got a little ahead of ourselves when we posted our latest video to our new single “You Reign.” Our label asked us to wait until it actually went to radio, and then we could “release the hounds.” In other words, do us a favor and call or go to your local Christian radio station’s website and start requesting to hear “You Reign.” We would greatly appreciate it. Because we should never forget that everytime MercyMe sings, an angel gets its wings…wait I don’t think that’s right…but let’s not take any chances.
Ok, and in the meantime, enjoy the video and thanks to all you goofballs out there that keep laughing at our blog. If it were not for you…well…we would be blogging to people who don’t think we are very funny. And that’s not very fun at all.
