    Thanks for posting. Wow, you DID have to do some editing! :) Turned out great. I’m waiting for the “Cover Tune Grab Bag” version of that little ditty about going through the desert on a horse with no name…or something like that.

    We were glad to host you, and even for us “locals,” the venue was quite rustic. I’m from Farmington (it’s Farmington and Bloomfield, by the way, but I like the way you merged the two into one name…LOL), and I don’t think I’ve ever spent THAT much time out in the dirt and rocks. It was cool though. So beautiful as The Afters and you guys led worship at sundown.

    How totally awesome it is to hear how you all take everything in stride. If I were out in the middle of NOWHERE as y’all found yourselves, I would be asking these questions…. “I am here, why?”….”What were we thinking?”…. “Is that snake poisonous?”……”Where is the A/C switch?”…..

    Truly, Y’all are an inspiration to me to always look at life as a glass half full. You live life large! Thanks for the hilarious experiences that you share with your slobbers.

    Jim’s Fred Flintstone version was a hoot! Who thinks of all these crazy things?

    lol, that was totally awesome! I would love to go to lunch on horse and buggy, thing. lol. Since it’s in the middle of nowhere…how many people came to the concert? They were able to find ya’ll in the middle of no where?? lol. Anyway, you have great video of Jim for the next Cover Tune grab bag, lol.

    I agree, it is so cool to be able to see the places that you all get to visit.

    You all should have done a Cover Tune Grab Bag while you were there. That way, Jim and Robby could have participated on one of them.

    This video was great! I was there for your show out there. I’m from Farmington, NM. Many people may not think we’re an actual state, but we do have some crazy (and beautiful) concert venues! I hope you guys enjoyed your visit. You put on a great show! Hope you come back soon!

    PS. Too bad you couldn’t pull off the CTGB out there… that would have been hilarious!

    omg Bart, that’s the funniest thing I’ve ever heard…that would’ve been the perfect song for you to do. Including the talking turtle, coyote, horses, etc. LOL…oh my, I can only imagine (no pun intended)what that would’ve sounded like and would you would’ve come up with. I’m laughing already and haven’t even seen anything. Hey, you can do “My Little Buttercup” from the movie…that would be awesome!

    Thanks for making the trip out to the Wild, Wild West. We certainly enjoyed having you here, along with The Afters and Bethany Dillon and everyone else. What an awesome day of worship! (despite the heat and blowing dirt…ick!)

    Yes, the venue was quite rustic, even for us “locals.” I am a DJ at the CHR station here, and I didn’t see the venue until the day before SpiritFest. Wild for sure! Thanks for having a great attitude about it and putting on a great show…but mostly for the awesome worship time you led. It was amazing.

    LOL, Jessica. Believe it or not, there were about 1500 people out there, on and off throughout the day. The venue was at Angel Peak Ranch, about 15 minutes outside of Bloomfield, New Mexico. It was 30 minutes from the main “hub” of the area, which is Farmington, NM.

    Jim? Probably the heat, I’m guessing. :)

    It’s great to see that great bands are willing to travel to places in NM (my home state!) other than Albuquerque and put on some concerts. Now I want to go visit my family. :)

    And a random FYI…rattlesnakes are territorial and do not like to be moved away from their home area. That’s some info I picked up when I had to learn how to use snake hooks to move them.

    We were there! Yes it was dusty and the horse drawn wagon was not available at the end of the show, so it was a long walk back to the bus with the kids asleep and all the gear. We really enjoyed listening to you guys perform. Thanks for enduring and hopefully your equipment is OK!

    I was at the show and it was sooo awesome to worship with such great groups. I will forever be gratefull that I was able to go!! I actually won a ticket on verical radio and was sooo blessed!! I took my husband for Fathers’s Day and my 12 yr old son whonow has MercyMe and the Afters on his IPOD that is now borrowed often by his mother!!! I have o agree though, the concert site was rustic even for this area. I live in Farmington, raised in Tucumcari, NM (now that is dessert!) and moved here from Logan, UT. I hope you guys can get out there sometime, it is beautiful!

    I live in Bloomfield, NM and was at the concert. Yes it was HOT HOT HOT and the dust. You guys were amazing and you had such a good attitude about all of the dust and heat, thanks. Getting the chance to worship with you guys was great. God bless

    I too work for the local chr station w/Wendy. (Saturday Show).I’ve been to a zillion concerts at various venues. Aside from the heat and dust, this had to be one of the coolest things I’ve experianced. I was fortunate enough to hang w/ the band, Bethany Dillion (& Aaron) & Trilby. What a blessing you all are. You’re welcome back any time. I’ll post a photo sometime of my snake (he’s 7.5′) peace…

    yeah…our snake was a baby rattler, (about 1 1/2′ long, which the locals said are actually more dangerous than the big ones…) Another local said it was probably just a bull snake, that they look alike…well to them I say….a snake is a snake…and I feel they should all die by the garden hoe. :)

    It seems to me that snakes are to Bart as birds are to my friend Candice. This week we were at Ocean City and every time a bird flew near her, she would freak out.

    (By the way for any of you who have been there b4: did you know that the guy who sits and plays the little piano on the boardwalk is a Christian?) :D
